On April 1, a staff of the world top 500 Amer International Group was making final preparations for the participation in the 10th CIITF. Amer International Group is a globalized group company with the complete industrial chain of non-ferrous metal as the leading role. One year ago, Amer Science City invested by the enterprise in Zhengzhou Airport was formally put into construction. In the future, it will become an intelligent terminal industrial base with high specification.
Several days ago, Central China Airport Industry Fund Management Co., Ltd. just signed contract with the Science City project of Amer International Group, and provided strategic support fund of RMB five billion, including intelligent terminal industry fund of Amer Science City of RMB 600 million.
Throughout the circumstances about preparation for CIITF, the world top 500 enterprises have become the most eye-catching scenery. Review | CIITF has become the main platform for large enterprises to enter Henan
As an important business card of Henan Province to be open to the outside world, CIITF has been held for ten consecutive sessions. Over ten years, CIITF has become the main platform for large enterprises and large merchants to know Henan and invest in Henan.
The first session of CIITF was held in 2002. Under the circumstance that China just entered WTO, the first session of CIITF became the first large foreign-related economic and trade activity held in our province. The import & export trade turnover of nearly USD 200 million and the signing project of more than USD 800 million have set the highest level of fairs in our province.
From the first session on, CIITF has absorbed the entry of large business and large capital, which became the “heavyweight focus” in holding the fair. In 2002, CIITF attracted famous enterprises at home and abroad such as Dupont, China Resources and etc. The coal-fired power generator unit jointly invested by Dengfeng Power Plant Group and China Resources in which foreign capital of USD 255 million is utilized was the largest contract signed at that time.
At CIITF of all sessions after that, large enterprises and financial cliques including the world top 500 and China top 500 all came to participate in the fair. More and more large enterprises would like to have dealings with Henan. During the 12th Five-Year Plan, 12 world top 500 enterprises newly had their presence in Henan, thus there has been 84 world top enterprises in Henan.
The reporter noticed that in the past ten years, the project of a large group of famous enterprises including Foxconn, AB InBev, Wal-Mart, Carrefour, McDonald’s, J.P. Morgan Chase, China Resources, Electricite de France and etc. have settled down in Henan and made great achievements.

In July, 2010, Foxconn signed contract for its project to settle down in Zhengzhou. On March 14, 2011, Foxconn Technology Group was formally put into production. Meanwhile, hundreds of associate manufacturers of Foxconn settled down in the port area and neighboring area, and stimulated over 100 industries and more than 400 supporting enterprises to have their presence in Henan successively.
In the past ten years, a group of large enterprises and large projects including Wahaha, XGMA, Chery Automobile and etc. have settled down in Henan, and established relevant industrial clusters and manufacturing bases in the place where they are located respectively.
”With the entry of major projects including Foxconn, Gree Electric Industrial Park, Big Dipper Intelligent Transportation Logistics Network and etc., the chain effect of ‘Investment attraction of one enterprise introduces a string of enterprises and takes the lead in the entire area’ has been formed,” said a staff of the Commerce Department of Henan Province.
In recent years, since economic situation at home and abroad is not good, investment attraction in our province is also faced with great pressure. Through continuous innovation of forms of investment attraction in Henan Province, large enterprise resources are made to “gather in the middle”. For this, just like Director of the Commerce Department of Henan Province Jiao Jinmiao said, “it was service-oriented investment attraction in the past, but now it is infeasible to compete depending on resource, cost and favorable policies. With reduced demographic dividend and increased land cost, it is required to optimize investment environment, change the mode of investment attraction, make specialized investment attraction and attract high-quality foreign capital. ”
It is understood that large enterprises will be attracted to come to Henan to set up regional head office and regional center for research and development, logistics, sales, settlement, backstage service and etc. in multiple forms.
