[CHIITF Event]World Emerging Industries Summit 2019 Held in Zhengzhou

World Emerging Industries Summit (WEIS) 2019 was co-hosted by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government and the Asia-Pacific CEO Association (APCEO) on the afternoon of April 8. It attracted international politicians, executives of Fortune 500 companies, representatives of well-known enterprises in emerging industries, heads of financial institutions, representatives of relevant enterprises, well-known experts and academic representatives from scientific research institutes, and heads of the county (city, district) governments of Zhengzhou, management committee of development zones, and relevant departments of the municipal government.

 

It is reported that the summit has collected 60 projects with a total investment of 100.2 billion yuan. Among them, there are 13 projects in advanced manufacturing with a total investment of 13.5 billion yuan, 22 in the high-growth service sector with a total investment of 60 billion yuan, 12 in electronic information with a total investment of 17.8 billion yuan, and 13 in energy conservation and environmental protection, biomedicine and modern agriculture, with a total investment of 8.9 billion yuan. It is worth noting that there are 24 projects in emerging industries expectedly with a total investment of 28.2 billion yuan, accounting for more than 28% of the total.

 

Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Zhengzhou, pointed out in his speech that WEIS held in Zhengzhou will bring new ideas, new plans, and new measures for the development of emerging industries, help Zhengzhou to realize industrial coupling and cluster linkage based on cooperation and exchange, and help consolidate the industrial support for high-quality construction of the central cities in China.

 
It is known that the summit revolved around "new energy and new opportunities", and focused on industrial partnering and investment attracting. In addition to the opening ceremony, the signing ceremony for key projects and high-level forums were held. It is the only special event held independently by Zhengzhou during the fair.
