She Consumption · She Economy · She Brilliance – “The Belt and Road” Cooperation Forum 2019 and Matching Meeting of Projects was held in Zhengzhou on April 8. A total of 300 guests from nearly 20 countries and regions were brought together in Zhengzhou to talk about women's consumption, discuss women's economy, and highlight women’s brilliance.

 Yu Hongqiu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of Henan Province, delivered a speech at the forum. On behalf of the Party committee and government, she welcomed the guests and made introduction to the conditions and economic and social development of Henan. Yu Hongqiu said that in recent years, Henan has thoroughly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on opening up, actively integrated itself into the Belt and Road construction, embarked on a new path of open economy in inland areas, and showed the due diligence and responsibility for serving the country for opening to the outside world 

Women create material and spiritual civilizations as an important force driving society forward. Women in Henan and the rest of the world are crucial to create a better future for the province as it is included in the Belt and Road construction from a new start. Henan will open its arms, adopt more active policies, create a more favorable environment, provide more convenient services, and offer more opportunities and create better conditions for women. Women are welcome to invest in, start business and make innovation in Henan, so as to witness the high-quality development of Henan, realize their value, create a wonderful life, and show their charm in the new era.

At the forum, Meng Man, Vice Chairman of the All-China Women's Federation (part-time) and a professor at the School of History and Culture, Minzu University of China, Chen Wenling, a famous Chinese economist, and Deng Yaping, an Olympic champion, made speeches respectively on “She Culture,” “She Consumption,” and “Sports Make Women More Beautiful.”

Also, Tania Romualdo, Ambassador of the Republic of Cape Verde to China, Chen Jiahui, Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to China, and Lydia Tagicakibau, wife of Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to China, were present at the forum.

Before the forum, Yu Hongqiu met with Tania Romualdo, Chen Jiahui, and Lydia Tagicakibau.
