Henan and Taiwan are linked by historical, cultural and blood ties, offering a solid foundation of popularity and rich resources of connections for the economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and enabling Taiwan to be an important source of foreign investment of Henan Province.

Aiming to further promote the economic and trade cooperation between Henan and Taiwan, and expand the areas of cooperation between the two sides, on January 6, Sun Jinglin, Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Commerce Department, led a business delegation of Henan Province to visit Taiwan for economic and trade exchanges.

From January 7 to 8, Sun Jinglin and the delegation visited Luo Hong, Director of the Taipei Branch of the Association of Economy and Trade across Taiwan Straits (AETATS), Lin Yizhuan, Secretary General of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufactures’ Association (TEEMA), Wang Quanhong, Executive Council Member of the General Chamber of Commerce of Taiwan (ROCCOC), Fan Liangdong, Secretary General of the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC), and Wu Yunrui, Secretary General of the Taipei Neihu Technology Park Development Association (TPDA).

Moreover, he also introduced the Ancestor Worship Ceremony in Hometown of Yellow Emperor and the 13th China (Henan) International Investment & Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as “CHIITF (Henan)”) to these Taiwanese businessmen. He graciously invited them to look for business opportunities and seek common development in Henan. Sun Jinglin emphasized that Taiwan and Henan Provinces should be closely linked by the surname culture, clan culture and Heluo culture (one of the sources of Chinese culture, which refers to the regional culture originated in the region centered on Luoyang).

At the meeting, Wu Ande, Deputy Director General of the Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Cheng Jianjun, Deputy Researcher of the Kaifeng Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Jiang Xinxia, Deputy Director General of the Pingdingshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Zhou Haicheng, Deputy Director General of the Zhumadian Municipal Bureau of Commerce, respectively introduced the local market situation in their cities. Gao Chang, President of the CPMAOT, Wang Quanhong, Executive Council Member of the ROCCOC, Ruan Dahong, Director of the TEEMA, and Lai Manzu, Vice General Manager of Zhengzhou Dennis Co., Ltd., delivered speeches respectively on behalf of their business associations and investment companies in Henan.
