On the morning of April 8, the 10th China (Henan) International Fair for Investment and Trade opened in Zhengzhou. Approved by the State Council, the 10th China (Henan) International Fair for Investment and Trade is the largest and most high-profile national and international economic and trade grand conference in Henan Province. Taking“openness, innovation, greenness, and sharing” as the them, this conference highlights the national grade and internationalism. Centered on the layout plan of the“13th Five-Year Plan”, this conference combined three national strategic plans: fully implement grain-production core area, the Central Plains Economic Zone and Zhengzhou Airport Harbor Economic Comprehensive Experimental Area with the deep integration of“One Belt and One Road” strategy. Focusing on the promotion of two-way investment import and export trade, the conference takes the investment promotion as the cardinal line, and takes the thematic marketing, industrial connection, project negotiation, and exhibition & display as the main contents. The conference would carry out five major events, including the Inland Opening-up Heights Innovation Forum and China (Zhengzhou) Cross-border E-Commerce Comprehensive Experimental Area Marketing Fair, etc. The conference held 10 special events, such as 2016 Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair Between Henan and foreign important business associations , 2016 Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair between Henan and International Friendly City, 2016 Business Talks about Overseas High-level Talented Person Intelligence Introduced Projects, 2016 Cooperation and Development Financial-Conference among Henan, Hong Kong and Macao, Intelligent Manufacturing Summit Forum in Henan Province, Helping Central Plains-Inclusive Financial Forum and 2016 Henan-Taiwan Economic and Trade Fair to build an exchange and cooperation platform for Chinese and foreign investors to achieve mutual benefit and win-win result and promote common development.
There were 429 delegations attending the CIFIT, with more than 22,000 domestic and foreign travelling merchants, among them, there were more than 3,700 travelling merchants from 86 countries and regions, 79 senior executives of Fortune Global 500 and well-known transnational corporations, 25 officials from overseas provinces and ministries, and 20 diplomatic envoys; and there were 18300 domestic merchants, including 122 senior executives of top domestic 500 companies and industry leading enterprises, and 22 officials from domestic provinces and ministries, plus local merchants, more than 30,000 participants attended the conference.
That afternoon, by virtue of the national trade platform— the 10th China (Henan) International Fair for Investment and Trade, Puyang City held a signing ceremony for Puyang key projects at the Zhengzhou International Convention Centre to publicize and promote Puyang and signed key projects. He said that , with a long history, Puyang, as a national-level historical and cultural city, was named the “Zhuanxu Remaining Capital”and “the hometown of Emperor shun”, as well as “Chinese Imperial Capital”named by the Chinese Ancient Capital Society. Puyang has a superior location and a great potential for development. Puyang is a regional center city for inter-provincial exchanges and an important access to the sea for the Central Plains Economic Zone. It is a main connecting and integrating edge between the Central Plains Economic Zone and the Bohai Economic Circle and a leading edge to carry out the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. The Beijing-kowloon Railway, Jinyulu Railway Passage, Beijing-Kowloon Dedicated Passenger being accelerated and Zhengzhou-Puyang-Jinan High-Speed Railway meet here. Daguang Expressway, Puhe Expressway, Nanlin Expressway, Pufan Expressway, Deshang Expressway and other expressways run through the entire territory. During the“Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, Puyang will form a railway skeleton of“升” type and a highway network of "3 Longitudinal and 3 Transverse". Puyang City is beautiful and suitable for living. The urban construction has unique characteristics and has won many honorary titles, such as National Sanitary City, National Civilized City, National Garden City, China Outstanding Tourism City, Chinese Poetry City, etc., for which Puyang has been honored as “excellent human settlement” and “Zhongyuan Oasis”.
